Greatness STEMs from Iowa’s Students

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is all around you. It's in iPhones, Instagram, Pinterest, your big-screen TV, and millions of other everyday necessities you can't be without now.

Can you imagine your life without electricity? Do you know what you would do if you didn't have a cell phone when you're stranded on the highway? What if you're destined to find the cure for cancer or AIDS?

That's why learning about STEM is important. It's a fun, hands-on approach to learning that allows you to ask questions about the world around you and understand how the materials you’re learning in class can be applied outside of the classroom. STEM aims to help you be prepared for your future.
